Behold
What Manner of Love the Father Hath Bestowed on Us
1Jn 3:1 Behold, what manner of
love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of
God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the
sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that,
when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he
is.
1Jn 3:3 And every man that hath
this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
- We Are
Changed into the Likeness of Christ by Beholding His Love. – vs. 1a
- As
you put the love of Christ before you by placing it in your meditation He
transforms your desires and gives you His righteousness. You begin to
love Him rather than love the world. This is how we are transformed and
are enabled to live a sinless life.

- As We
Behold the Love of Christ it Changes Our Identity and Invites Us into the
Family of God. – vs. 1b
- When
we understand that God’s love is truly an undeserved gift we begin to
truly fathom the depth of His grace. Then we start to understand how
truly wonderful it is to be a child of God.

the glorious revelation of Christ our sin nature is wiped away and we are
joined with Him in perfect harmony.

- It
is in the knowledge Christ that we are sanctified.
