Chain of Salvation
Rom 8:29 For whom
he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be
conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many
brethren.
Rom 8:30 Moreover
whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also
justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
- The Reason God Saves You and Me is Because He Wants Us
to be Conformed into the Image of Christ – vs. 29b
- Those that have been called
out of the world for salvation were called because they are to be made into
the likeness of Christ. We are to be His representation on earth.

- Your Sanctification Was the Reason You Were Foreknown –
vs. 29a
- Paul is not saying here that
God look down through history at what you were going to decide to do with
is Son and based His decision to elect you on that faith. You were chosen
on absolutely no merit of your own. This is humbling to admit but true to
God’s word.

- If it is God that justifies
and no man, then there is no one that can take it away.

- Paul is careful to express the
word glorified in past tense to show us that the work of God is already completed.
Your eternal destiny is has already been settled. We are to run the race
with patience.
