Ephesians 4:13

Till We All Come in the Unity of the Faith

Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 

 

          1.     What Does the Perfect Church Look Like?

          2.     She is United in Faith

a.     Does this mean that we are to be united with anyone who claims to have Faith?

                                               i.     No, we are only to be untied with those who confess the same faith as us

1.     Ephesians 4:4-6 

2.     One indwelling of the Holy Spirit

a.     Ephesians 2:22 

3.     One Son of God who is called Jesus

a.     Acts 2:36 

4.     One God who is Father of All

a.     Romans 11:33 

          3.     She Has a Greater Knowledge of the Son of God

a.     Do we recognize Jesus in His rightful place as the Son of God?

                                               i.     God says He has a Son

1.     Matthew 3:16-17 

                                             ii.     Peter’s confession of the Sonship of God is the cornerstone of the Church

1.     Matthew 16:16-18 

                                           iii.     The Son is eternally existent with the Father

1.     John 1:1-3 

                                            iv.     All people will eventually confess His Sonship

1.     Philippians 2:5-7 

          4.     She is Spiritually Mature

a.     We are to continue in grow in spiritual maturity until the day we go to be with Jesus in heaven

                                               i.     1 Corinthians 13:9-13 

          5.     She is Growing Up to be Like Jesus

a.     Colossians 1:15-22
