By Grace You Were Saved

 

Eph 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 

         1.      One You Were Dead

a.       Apart from Christ, we are all men most miserable

                                                              i.      1 Corinthians 15:18-22 

b.      Apart from Christ, life is completely futile

                                                              i.      Psalm 103:12-17 

c.       Apart from Christ, we were under the condemnation of the law

                                                              i.      1 Timothy 1:8-10 

d.      Apart from Christ, the gospel sounded like a foolish fantasy

                                                              i.      1 Corinthians 1:18 

          2.      Now You are Made Alive

a.       Christ chose you

                                                              i.      2 Thessalonians 2:13 

b.      Christ bestowed His love upon you

                                                              i.      1 John 3:1 

c.       Christ went to the cross for you

                                                              i.      John 15:13 

                                                            ii.      John 13:1   

d.      Christ opened your eyes

                                                              i.      2 Corinthians 4:4-6 

        3.      This Miracle Was Made Possible by the Grace of God

a.       You were born again by this grace, there is a future inheritance reserved for you by this grace and it is all kept and preserved by this grace

                                                              i.      1 Peter 1:3-5
