Ephesians 2:6

Your Home is in the Heavenly Places

 

Eph 2:6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 

          1.      You Have Been Resurrected in Christ

a.       The resurrection of Christ is very important for the believer. They must remember the following:

                                                              i.      They must remember that they partake of resurrection of Christ through baptism

1.      Romans 6:3-4 

                                                            ii.      They must remember that their old nature was crucified with Christ

1.      Romans 6:6-8 

                                                          iii.      They must remember that the resurrection of Christ forever sealed their victory over sin and death

1.      Romans 6:9-10 

b.      This means that the believer now enjoys the following blessings:

                                                              i.      Peace with God

1.      Romans 5:1 

                                                            ii.      No more condemnation

1.      Romans 8:1 

          2.      You Now Have a Seat of Honor at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb

a.       This world is doomed and under the judgement of God

                                                              i.      Galatians 1:4 

b.      This world is not our home

                                                              i.      Hebrews 11:13-16 

c.       We can enter into the presence of God by the blood of the Lamb

                                                              i.      Hebrews 10:19-22 

d.      Our thoughts should always turn heavenward

                                                              i.      Colossians 3:1-4 

e.       We now have unrestricted access to the throne room of God in heaven

                                                              i.      Hebrews 4:14-16
