Ephesians 2:19

You are Now a Part of the Household of God

    

            1.      You Are No More an Outcast to the Things of God

a.       The reason you are no longer an alien to the things of God is because of Christ

                                                              i.            He drew you to Himself through His Blood sacrifice

1.      1 Peter 1:18-19 

                                                            ii.            He broke done the wall of separation between you and God

1.      Colossians 1:20 

                                                          iii.            He ended your condemnation under the Law

1.      Romans 8:1 

                                                          iv.            He ended the hostility between us and the people of God

1.      Romans 5:10 

                                                            v.            He gave us access to the presence of God

1.      John 14:6 

           2.      You Are Now Fellowcitizens with the Saints

a.       You now have a new political allegiance which means that:

                                                              i.            You have new affection for a different Kingdom

1.      Colossians 3:2-4 

                                                            ii.            You have a new identity in the Kingdom

1.      Galatians 3:26-28 

                                                          iii.            You have a new code of ethics from the Kingdom

1.      Psalm 119:102-105 

                                                          iv.            You have a new enemy to fight for the Kingdom

1.      2 Corinthians 10:4-5 

            3.      You Are Now a Member of the Family of God

a.       A family puts the members of its party above all else

                                                              i.            Galatians 6:10 

b.      A family has a standard by which they treat others

                                                              i.            Matthew 5:43-45 

c.       A family may be attacked by a common enemy

                                                              i.            Matthew 10:25 

d.      A family is bound together by a deep love

                                                              i.            1 John 3:1-2 

e.       A family has a common Father

                                                              i.            Galatians 4:6-7
