10:4-10
The
Word of Faith
Rom 10:5 For Moses describeth
the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things
shall live by them.
Rom 10:6 But the
righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart,
Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Rom 10:7 Or, Who shall
descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
Rom 10:8 But what saith it?
The word is nigh thee, even in thy
mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
- Salvation
is not Found in Morality and Self-Improvement – vs. 4-5
- No
amount of morality will create lasting change in your life. Morality may
fix things for a time with a tremendous amount of self-effort, but in the
end, you will be left with only bitterness and resentment.

seek a way to God through a mystical experience outside of the truth of God’s
Word. All of this is false religion.

Comes Through the Written Revelation of God: The Word – vs. 8
- Salvation
is found in the pure word of God because it reveals to us the nature of
man and his need for redemption. This need is so great that no power on
earth can save him, only God Himself can.
