Will Give Account of Yourself to God
Rom 14:10 But why
dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we
shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Rom 14:11 For it is
written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue
shall confess to God.
Rom 14:12 So then
every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Every Believer Will Stand Before the
Judgement Seat of Christ – vs. 10
a. Why
does the weaker brother judge the other for his lack of standards? Why does the
stronger brother despise the other for the convictions his brother may need in
his life?

Christian will one day have to stand before the Christ who saved them and
answer for their actions.

What kind of judgement is Paul speaking of
when he says that a believer will need to stand before Christ?

Let
Every Man Be Fully Persuaded in His Own Mind
Rom 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another:
another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own
mind.
Rom 14:6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto
the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it.
He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that
eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Convictions Should Come from the Same Source – vs. 5

One Christian may celebrate a holiday

God’s moral law is non optional

God’s law does not justify you

Yet God’s law does provide a knowledge of right and

Another Christian may not celebrate a holiday

Because following the law of God does not save you, you
do enjoy particular Christian liberties which allow for vast amounts of
cultural differences between Christians

No matter what your conviction is, it must be based
firmly in thoroughly thought-out ideas
