The Sovereignty of the Believer

1Jn 2:18  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 

1Jn 2:19  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 

1Jn 2:20  But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 

1Jn 2:21  I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 

1Jn 2:22  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 

1Jn 2:23  Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 

1Jn 2:24  Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. 

1Jn 2:25  And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 

1Jn 2:26  These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 

1Jn 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 

1. In the Last Days there Will Arise a Great Antichrist. – vs. 18a*

2. Even Now there are Many Antichrists or False Believers Who Pretend to be Saved. – vs. 18b*

                                                               i.      These people attempt to lead true believers astray.

3. The True Test of the Purity of Faith in the Believer is the Endurance of their Faith. Because We Know that Christ Does Not Go Back On His Promises. – vs. 19*

4. You have Been Given the Gift of Holy Spirit Which is Far More Powerful than Any Church Governance. – vs. 20*
1. All the earthy power of the religious elite bows to the will of the Holy Spirit working within the heart of the lowliest believer.

5. You Know the Truth Through the Power of the Holy Spirit Revealing it Through Scripture. – vs. 21*
1. The Holy Spirit is the incredible force that topples monarchies and brings popes to their knees.

6. Anyone that Denies that Jesus is the True Messiah (or King) is a Liar and is not of God. – vs. 22-23*
1. It a humble faith in Christ that gives the individual the power to preach the truth with confidence. Any denial of Him and His authority is not Christianity.

                                                               i.      Jude 1:3-4 

7. Abide in the True Faith in Jesus Christ, and He Will Carry You Through. – vs. 24*

8. It is Christ that has Promised You Eternal Life and He Will Not Forsake You. – vs. 25*

9. Scripture Tells Us the Truth and Reveals the Liars that Have Come to Seduce the New Believers. – vs. 26*

10. Cling in Faith to the Working of the Holy Spirit Within You, and Trust that He Will Guide You to the Truth of His Word. – vs. 27*
