The Great Love of God

 

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 

         1.      God’s Incredible Intervention

a.       Once upon a time you were beyond hope

                                                              i.      Ezekiel 37:1-2 

b.      Yet a dead man heard

                                                              i.      Ezekiel 37:3-4 

c.       You have been made alive by the power of the Word

                                                              i.      Ezekiel 37:10 

        2.      God’s Magnificent Mercy

a.       God didn’t have mercy on you because you deserved it

                                                              i.      Ezekiel 36:21-22 

b.      God found you when you were lost

                                                              i.      Ezekiel 36:24-27 

c.       God rebuilds you when you were broken

                                                              i.      Ezekiel 36:31-33 

         3.      God’s Unending Love

a.       It is the love of God that unites us with Christ for all eternity and completes the atonement

                                                              i.      Romans 5:6-11
