Who Gets it Inherit the Kingdom of God?

 

Eph 5:5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 

 

           1.     No Immoral Person Will be Able to Get into Heaven

a.     1 Corinthians 6:9-10 

           2.     No Impure Person Will be Able to Get into Heaven

a.     Matthew 5:8 

           3.     No Covetous Person Will be Able to Get into Heaven

a.     Psalm 15:1-5 

           4.     No Idolatrous Person Will be Able to Get into Heaven

a.     1 John 5:21 

           5.     Who then Can Go to Heaven?

a.     God is holy - 1 Peter 1:15-16 

b.     God expects you to be holy - Psalm 24:3-4 

c.     You are not holy - Romans 3:23 

d.     God justifies unholy people like you - Romans 4:5 

e.     God wants to make you holy - John 17:17; 1 John 3:3 

f.      God’s wants to bring you to His Holy Place - Romans 8:30 

6.     Is it Right to Preach the Law to A Believer?

a.     A believer follows Gods commands

                                               i.     1 John 2:4; Matthew 7:21-23 

b.     A believer now has the Holy Spirit to enable them to follow God’s commands

                                               i.     Romans 8:4-5 

c.     A believer does not have fellowship with darkness

                                               i.     1 John 1:6 

d.     The ultimate goal for the believer is holiness not happiness

                                               i.     Hebrews 12:5-7 

e.     The believer is set free from sin

                                               i.     1 Corinthians 6:9-11
